Can’t detect Lexar thumb drives usb-c 3.2 gen1. Files app can see the drive just fine.

Update the app. The app just crashes when you try to use it. I’d like to use my lexar usb, but the app is impossible.

Total ripoff. This app is for use with the Lexar drive. Spent over $60 on the drive only to find out that this stupid app changes all my pictures from JPEG to an HEIC file making them totally useless. Tried every setting to shut off conversion but there’s no option. The software designer needs to be fired !!!

All I needed was an app to bipass iTunes for personal audio and photo files. Makes backup so much easier, love being able to just plug in the Lexar memory stick into my phone and then straight into my computer. Even able to read my e-books/PDFs, though there is no bookmark option or to carry on where you left off unfortunately.

Here’s what I found. it may shed some light for others here, that also misunderstood it. for example, saying works only on specific iOS ver. such as 12, well, it most likely not the case. because I have 12, and it's not working, here is the important part - I used it on my previous iphone with earlier iOS version, and it works as intended. but when connected to the newer device, it's asking permission to access photos, cal, contacts, etc.. and authenticating the drive with no errors on screen and shows up as N/A. tapping on it then says “not connected”. support website is useless, sends you to some Apple support page with some licensing issues. the device was purchased on Amazon years ago. I don't care about this licensing now. it should have been said so, within the first year of use and warranty. Apple's walled garden (monopy) is strict enough, the USB chip allows them to do as they please. this is wrong. the bottom line is, that it seems to work but not transferable to the next device. it might be possible, if all contets backed up to a PC, then formatting clean and reinstalling the device's “OS” (not the App Store app itself), but that's risky, if something goes wrong, you might lose all functionality, or just funtional as regular usb storage.

It worked well enough in the early days of iOS but as the OS evolved the app was never upgraded and now the company states that it is no longer supported and will not be supported in the future.

The app is quite literally useless as it crashes on startup without fail each time I open it.

Haven’t been able to get to my content for months. App won’t open.

Is there any update in the near future for this app?

It’s really stupid how the time stamps on photos and videos are on the day of the back up, not when the photos or videos were taken. Is there any way LEXAR can fix that?

This lightning flash drive takes some work, but is the best you will ever buy. I don’t know what idiot would give less than 5 stars. Sandisk is the worst crap I have ever used if you want to rate it , it’s garbage. Buy the Lexar and you will never buy anything else.

This usb transfer utility erased all my photos from 5years ago. If I can give it a zero I would. Do not trust this device with your photos. I spent $60 on usb device.

Looks like the latest IOS broke the app. New version please......

Beware a soon you put the sd card reader in the phone all your content will be deletes and crash

Crashed several times. Cannot zip file. I says for in app purchase, which does not exist. Attempts to share multiple files at once, results in only the first file being shared. It corrupted the drive memory once (according to Lexar app). The drive was functioned perfectly on the computer. This app needs a lot of work. Also, one can only share one file at a time, even though many are highlighted. Very amateur app for a company. Can't find an alternative app, for iPad 4. Almost a waste of money for the drive. Now it says drive is not supported or faulty memory. The drive is recognized by computers via USB, but not on my iPad. So now the drive and software are totally useless. Absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!!!! -3 stars. Works well only for tiny files. If you have ten folders within a folder you have to transfer only one inner folder at a time to the Lexmark drive. Large files 1 bb etc cause it to crash every time. And they have the nerve to charge for in app purchases. Sick!!!

This extremely compact device makes it very easy to add photos, documents, or music to your iPhone or iPad - I love it! Unfortunately, IOS 13.6 messed it up, and it no longer works on my iPhone 11 Pro. Still works on my iPad Mini that has not been updated to IOS 13.6. I put a 1TB mini SDHC card in it - worked fantastic until I updated my phone. I really love the design of my Apple products, but hate that they don’t have any USB or camera card ports. This device had solved the problem up until I made the mistake of updating to IOS 13.6.

Downloaded to my iPhone and it will not identify the jump drive even though it made me download the app when I first put it in. Worthless

Super awesome when it loads, but it never does. I’ve tried it on multiple devices. Super frustrating.

Please update for iOS 13. The app crashes when I plug in Lexar flash drive.

Love this app.. works excellent on my Jumpdrive USB.. I love that I can store all my documents and password protect them.

The drive never worked sent it back while it was on warranty it worked for a couple weeks and then stopped again. Looks like it was just a cash grab.

I was lucky to be able to find this out before purchasing the device it goes with. First off, why does this need access to your contacts and calendar... but that’s another issue. The app simply crashed every single time I tried to load it. Don’t bother with this one or the device’s that need it.

Was always buggy from the start. Now will not even recognize the drive with IpadOS. Sad for a recognized brand. And no updates coming so I guess money well spent.

In combination to the 64Gb external drive, the app crashes every time I try to open it. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app many times with no change in performance. I’ve connected the external drive to my laptop to format with no success; it says “the disk is write protected”. If I can’t access the flash drive via the app, because that’s flawed, and I can’t access the flash drive via laptop, this purchase is 100% worthless. I am really fair and honest l, in terms of review, about the products I purchase. After all, it’s my responsibility as a consumer to do my research prior to purchase. But, after having an older model work for sometime till I had to update my Iphone (new iOS phased out compatibility) I figured the new drive would work well. WRONG! This company needs to prioritize their products and software/firmware to make there products perform as advertised. Otherwise, they are just scamming the consumer and should be dragged out for that.

..if you even get to look at it at all. Keeps disconnecting from my 128GB Lexmark drive all the time, for no apparent reason.

Doesn't Work On IPhone 8PLUS

This does what I need for viewing and editing files on my microSD cards. However, I use it on my iPad and the app does not rotate! I have to turn my head sideways...irritating to say the least

I keep hoping the these folks will "fix" this App to recognize their hardware when connected to my USB-C iPad Pro. But, they aren't playing. And, here is a knock to the APP STORE for allowing this vendor to indicate that they DO "works with this device" when I'm using my iPad Pro to write this review.

When switching phones (from Samsung to Apple), i found this app and put my pictures on it. Now, this app takes up 50GB of my phone storage and there is no way to take it off. Biggest regret getting this app. I have tried downloading them to Dropbox from the app, and it keeps failing. Im stuck with this app and wish I never got it in the first place.

Speaks volumes on how customer support is handled by this company. Obviously stick to brands that offer support and generally care about the product they make and the people who purchase from them.

Bought this reader so I could easily transfer photos and videos from a micro SD card to my camera roll and that is the one thing the app just won't do. It just glitches and nothing gets copied.

useless app and hardware

This is just a huge waste of money & time. Doesn’t work.

Every single time I try to transfer an image to my camera roll, the app crashes. This makes your card reader for iOS pretty worthless. I was happy with the product before but now I have a worthless card reader that doesn’t work. What a waste of money.

Apparently Lexar doesn’t care about the people buying their products. This is still being sold all over, and Lexar says they’re done supporting these devices because they’ve come out with a newer device, and see no need to keep the firmware updated on the C20i. I have the emails to prove it. They’ve also made it impossible to do any type of “RMA” with all the hoops you have to jump through.

Thanks to the user who said the user guide is in their website. I’ll go check it next. The good: This is a great concept and design. But it initially worked, with my Lexar 64K iOS memory drive, and has lots of potential. I use my iPhone home videos. I like your opening Console with the icons for the many nice features. Problem: -you are not responding to your user’s. Read the comments immediately. -so many negatives, who is in charge of your app? Give us their personal email so we can get their attention. -update THIS APP! Last update was ONE YEAR AGO. TODAY IS 1/23/2019. -now keeps constantly stuck in “authenticating” mode. I’ve deleted and re downloaded the app and same problem .... -when I could get it to show me my memory files, some were not accesible; it took me a while to learn that these files can be viewed by downloading their sister app: TopReel. TopReal app immediately shows my videos on the Lexar, that were not compatible viewing, while the mem Stick is still connected to my iPhone. -TopReel doesn’t have anyway to email or transfer my Lexar mem drive files anywhere! Urrrg .... it has a synch button but I can’t see how that does anything. -make a FAQ available to explain these things from the app itself. I’ll go to my PC to see if I can retrieve and download my previously stored info. When you fix these things tell us in this APPLE APP page so we can know and through the app itself. Your product will be terrific when these things are addressed.

This version of the application does not work on the newest iPad with the USB-C connector. I just bought the latest Lexar adapter with the USB-C connector, however the application does not recognize it but iOS does. It worked fine on my older iPad.

Just installed it. Crashes. Freezes. Very disappointed

This app will transfer files to and from the Lexar flash drives, but only from or to photos, videos, music, voice recordings, contacts, and DropBox under iOS 12. It does NOT integrate with Apple’s “Files” app, so it CANNOT to transfer data to/from other, non-Apple software. Since most of the non-Apple software already integrates with Files and/or DropBox, there is hardly any need for this app. Before Apple introduced their Files facility there might have been some reason to put up with the limitations of this app. However, until Lexar decides to support Files, I recommend NOT purchasing Lexar’s Lightning-interfaced flash drives, because the only way to use them from iOS seems to be via this, inadequate, app.

I am experiencing the same issue as Zero Star. I hope this issue can be fixed soon.

Does not work on iOS 12 on iPhone X. Keeps on crashing

It is great for a storage company to do such apps. I listen to video lectures on this app but the media player on the app is very limited. Please have airplay support and playback speed control. Thank you.
